As a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retinal specialist, I created this blog to help people filter through all the information (and misinformation) about vision-related medical topics. I am an unbiased resource; I have no industry sponsorship and I am not selling any product online. I graduated from Harvard Medical School, completed many years of eye-specific training, and see patients full-time. My goal in this blog is to provide accurate, professional information to help people better understand their eye health.
In addition, I hope to draw attention to the beautiful gift of vision. The human eye is quite remarkable and something that one should never take for granted.
On a personal note, I look forward to this opportunity to write and share my thoughts. Since becoming a doctor, all my writing has been regimented in nature. I have written countless IRB (Internal Review Board) proposals for research projects, scientific manuscripts, and research poster presentations. This blog is an opportunity to write with more freedom about whatever interests me. Translating one’s thoughts to the written page is quite therapeutic and something that I will enjoy immensely.
Thank you for visiting my blog and hope this helps you in some way.
